TIMBO Trauma Informed Yoga Program

Join Dóchas House of Yoga for our Trauma Informed Mind & Body (TIMBo) Group! Led by experienced TIMBo facilitators and trauma informed yoga teachers, Hannah Colbert, MSW, and Caitlin Bryan, LICSW.

TIMBo is a research-backed program designed specifically to help women cope with chronic anxiety, depression and PTSD. TIMBo focuses on the present, not past trauma, and how an overactive nervous system impacts our current relationships and every day life.

From our very first session, TIMBo gives you simple tools to connect with your body and calm your nervous system. Tools you can use anywhere, anytime to help you navigate life with greater ease.

You’ll receive a workbook to use during each session and explore topics such as compassion, fear, confidence, shame, awareness and perspective. You’ll learn to connect with where these emotions are felt and where they manifest in your body. Using breathing techniques and simple yoga poses you’ll build better mind-body awareness and connection, release unconscious holding patterns and begin to feel more at ease in your body. The yoga poses are accessible to all ability levels, so no previous yoga experience is needed.

Participating in TIMBo has been proven to decrease the symptoms of depression, anxiety and PTSD and increase rates of self-compassion.

You can attend the TIMBo program multiple times as it always applies to your current emotional, physiological, and environmental state; there is always room to cultivate more self compassion.

This group meets in person at Dóchas House of Yoga, located at 142 Canal Street in Salem, MA on Monday nights 7:30-9pm, September 28-November 23, 2026 with no group on October 12th.
