Yoga by the Sea: Outdoor Yoga
Take your practice outdoors and meet us by the water for a summer series of open air vinyasa yoga classes at Forest River Park! Expect a grounding, breath-led yoga practice, with a long savasana to bring spaciousness to the weekend.
All levels welcome! Bring a mat, water, and anything you need to feel comfortable outdoors.
After parking, walk down the path into the park for about 2–5 minutes. Class meets at the last picnic area on the left, near the water. Look for the Dóchas setup!
Asana Deep Dive: Arm Balance Workshop
Where practice meets precision. This class is designed to help you deepen your understanding of yoga postures through exploration, alignment, and play. each session focuses on a specific theme or family of poses: breaking down the mechanics, modifications, and mindful techniques to support your practice and prevent injury.
Expect detailed instruction, hands-on refinement, and plenty of space to ask questions, experiment, and reconnect with the joy of learning.
For all curious practitioners ready to strengthen their foundation and expand their range: no prior experience is needed, only an open mind and heart!

Immerse yourself in the vibrant beauty of Costa Rica for a soul-nourishing, nature-rooted yoga retreat designed to awaken your senses, ground your spirit, and reconnect you with the elements.
Surrounded by lush jungle, golden beaches, and the healing rhythms of the ocean, each day will begin with energizing vinyasa flows and end with deeply restorative practices— restorative yoga, Yin, gentle movement, and sound baths under the stars. All levels are welcome; no prior experience is necessary—just an open heart and a love for nature. All our yoga practices are suitable for all levels and beginner friendly!
You’ll have the option to explore the richness of Costa Rican culture, from sipping fresh coconuts on the beach to surfing the warm Pacific waves. Ride horseback through mountain trails, zipline through the rainforest canopy, or indulge in spa days with ocean views. December is the prime time for spotting sea turtles, tropical birds, and abundant wildlife in their natural habitat—just as the dry season begins and nature truly comes alive.
Whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, connection, or inspiration, Dóchas House of Yoga invites you to breathe deeply, move mindfully, and come home to yourself.
Our private accommodations are at the stunning Casas Kismet, where we have the entire resort reserved for our group. With ocean views outside of every room and a yoga shala overlooking the trees and ocean, we will be nestled in one of the most beautiful parts of Nosara.
Hannah, Wendy, Erika, and guest teachers from Costa Rica will lead us in our yoga practices ranging from gentle and embodied morning yoga, invigorating vinyasa, restorative yoga, yin yoga, sound journeys, cacao ceremonies, and more.
This retreat is open to EVERYONE! For the adventourous and curious hearts willing to explore, learn, and connect. We would love to have you join us!

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Join us this summer and fall for a lineage-rooted 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training led by Hannah Colbert and Erika Halaby of Dóchas School of Yoga and Rooted Rose Recreation.
This immersive training blends traditional yoga philosophy, intelligent sequencing, anatomy, trauma-informed study, and experiential learning in nature. Together, we walk the path of the yogi; deepening devotion as students while stepping confidently into the seat of the teacher.

Kirtan: Chanting Sacred Mantras + Music
Join Jaya Madhava Das (aka James Cennamo) at Dóchas House of Yoga for an evening of live music, ecstatic chants, and community! Join us to experience the depth of the yoga practice through chanting!
Kirtan comes from the Bhakti tradition of yoga: a lineage of devotion, sound, and song, rather than physical postures (asana). Kirtan is a call and response form of chanting mainly compromised of Sanskrit mantras. When chanting these mantas, we call out to the Divine. Mantra is a Sanskrit word composed of two sounds: “man” means mind and “tra” means to cross over or protect. Kirtan means “to speak of” or “to mention”. The world is sound. ALL are welcome to join us to this incredible practice!

Join us for a hands-on workshop led by Led by Robert Mulroy, DPT of Aligned Performance, designed to release tension, improve mobility, and help you move with greater ease!
We’ll focus on simple, effective techniques to target common areas of tightness like the hips, shoulders, and back. Through guided release and intentional movement, you’ll learn how to reduce pain and stiffness, increase range of motion, and support your body beyond the mat.

Join Molly at Dóchas House of Yoga for a dreamy yin and restorative yoga experience inspired by the hauntingly beautiful music of Billie Eilish! This special tribute class blends supportive yin postures, restorative support, breath work, and deep relaxation with a curated Billie Eilish playlist designed to help you soften, release, and reconnect.
Inner Spring Mini Retreat
Join us for an afternoon of yin yoga, restorative yoga, sound healing, and seasonal reflection as we honor the final bloom of spring and gently prepare for the warmth of summer.
We’ll move through a grounding yin + restorative practice with Hannah designed to calm the nervous system, open the body, and create space for ease. We’ll move into a nourishing sound healing journey by Tatiana and be guided through intention setting under the full moon to honor what has grown and welcome what comes next.
